A New Chapter Ahead
Jul. 16th, 2023 12:11 pmI am leaving Oklahoma. I just turned in two-week notice at work on Friday, and I'm feeling a lot more relieved. I have my loved one and family in Nevada, and I'm going to move there. I am a lot happier.
Recently, Oklahoma passed multiple laws clamping down on transgender rights, abortion, LGBTQ+ rights, education, and even recreational marijuana. I was questioning staying in Oklahoma given political situation, and I only had been employed for a few months. I am becoming worried that my webcomic project could be banned in Oklahoma in the near future if it get worse.
I also noticed that Nevada is becoming more progressive which was something that cemented my decision to leave Oklahoma. I am going to focus on my art and blogs full-time once I move in with my boyfriend and his family.
